It's Sunday and it's Snowing....

Silly Elf

Tootsie the elf has been wreaking havoc on our home this week. She's been up to some silly tricks - In fact, she tore up the sugar and decided to make snow angels!

Spreading the Good

We must always believe there is good in the world.

 

We can start by being the good in someones world today.

I'm taking some flowers and cookies into my daughters' school today....

I know that they need to see and feel some good

Hugging A little More Today

I am going to be hugging these 2 little people extra hard today,

because life is short, sweet and very uncertain.

 

My heart is breaking over the tragedy in Connecticut. I really am speechless.

So for now, I am going to hug my babies extra, extra hard and long today.

I am going to listen extra hard to their little voices

and hold their tiny hands until they won't let me anymore.

 

For there are some mommies that will never get that chance, ever, again.

We didn't realize when we sat there - how lucky we were. The beach and the surrounding dunes were completely washed away during Hurricane Sandy-

It's moments like these that need to be treasured and shared often.

Life is truly precious.

So go hug that someone you love! 

Take a little bit more time to really enjoy your life

Because, at any moment, it can all be washed away.

 

Sunday Sketches - it all starts with a sketch

 It's a very busy time of year at RoseHill. Custom illustrated Christmas cards are what keeps me busy this time of year. I love doing them, and seeing the products go from an idea to a sketch for a finished product, and eventually the finished card. It makes me feel so excited that my little design is warming the hearts of all who receive them!

 This year, I have been sharing the progress one of the cards that I have been working on on my Facebook page. It is for a family who loves their Scottie dogs. They also live out west in gorgeous Utah, so we have incorporated that into the card.

Well the coffee is on and I a have "ELF" on in the studio today. I am getting into the holiday spirit and watching all of my favorite movies today while I work!

Seriously, one of the best parts of working from home is being able to tune into my favorite holiday movies while I am working...I am definitely Thankful for THAT!
